A different way
of doing justice
Sociedad Argentina de Justicia Restaurativa promotes a paradigm shift: from punishment toward dialogue, reparation, and community care.
Our motto
"Promoting an architecture of peace
through restorative approaches,
connecting humanity."
What restorative justice is
We don't ask which law was broken,
but rather who was harmed.
It is an approach that addresses conflicts and offenses by focusing on the people affected, not on punishment. It brings victims, those who caused the harm, and the community into dialogue, seeking agreements that repair what can be repaired.
It works as a complement, and sometimes as an alternative, to the traditional criminal justice system. Courts, mediators, and victims' organizations have been implementing it worldwide for decades.
Voices from the team
"Before the offense, there is often a childhood marked by violence, structural poverty, and lack of access to education. Prison is not the beginning of punishment but its continuation."
